We shoot elevations the length and width of the home, then reset the piers that have dropped, replacing crumbled pads and undersized footings as we go. Check it every two to three years, and always after a named storm or an unusually wet or dry season. Anchor spacing and strap counts are set by the home’s wind zone and its length, and the requirement has tightened over the years, so a home installed decades ago may be legal but under-anchored by current standards. Corrosion makes it worse. We count and inspect what is actually there and tell you where it stands, rather than quoting a replacement before we have looked.
