Home Remodeling in the Rio Grande Valley
→ Remodeling is really three jobs: what you can see, what is behind it, and the order the two happen in. Cabinets and tile are the part people picture. What decides whether the budget holds is what the crew finds once a wall is open, and whether the trades arrive in the right sequence.
We survey before we price. Older Valley homes hide galvanised supply lines, cast iron waste and circuits that were never sized for a modern kitchen, and a quote written without opening anything is a quote that will change.
This page is the overview. For the detail on individual rooms see kitchen and bath remodeling. If floors slope or doors will not latch, that is house leveling and it happens before any finish work. For carports, patio covers and other exterior structures see construction services, and if the roof is part of the project, start at roof replacement. We also serve Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend.
Remodeling Services
Kitchen Remodeling
Layout changes, cabinetry, counters, tile, lighting and fixtures. The work that decides the timeline is usually invisible on the drawing: moving a sink means moving waste, not just supply, and in an older Valley home that can mean cast iron. We open and look before we commit to a figure. Detail on the kitchen and bath page.
Bathroom Remodeling & Walk-In Showers
Full bathroom rebuilds and tub-to-shower conversions. The two things that fail early in this climate are waterproofing behind the tile and ventilation above it, and both are cheaper to do properly than to redo. Substrate gets replaced where it is soft rather than tiled over.
Cabinetry, Counters, Tile & Fixtures
Finish work on its own, where the layout is staying put and the room simply needs bringing up to date. This is the shortest path to a room that feels new, and it is worth pricing against a full remodel before deciding which you actually want.
What Has To Be Right Before the Finishes Go In
New tile over a floor that still moves will crack again, and new paint under a roof that still leaks will stain again. Where a survey finds movement we deal with the structure first through house leveling; where the roof is at the end of its life we handle that first through roof replacement or metal roofing. Sequencing is not an upsell, it is what stops the same money being spent twice.
Carports, Patio Covers & Exterior Structures
Covered parking, patio covers and similar structures, built for the three things that actually destroy them here: wind uplift, eight months of direct sun, and humidity attacking anything in ground contact. Footings and connections are sized for uplift rather than weight. See construction services.
Mobile & Manufactured Home Work
We are licensed by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs as a manufactured housing installer, licence #MHDINS00004804. That covers mobile home leveling and tie-downs and underbelly insulation. If you own a manufactured home, this is the part of our work that is licence-backed rather than general contracting.
How We Survey, Price and Sequence
We survey first, tell you what we found, then price it. Where something cannot be known until a wall is open we say so rather than burying a contingency in the number. Then the trades are sequenced so nobody is standing around waiting for a substrate to dry or a plumber to arrive, which is how a three-week job turns into a three-month one.
Which Page Do You Actually Need?
If the project is a kitchen or a bathroom, go to kitchen and bath remodeling. If floors slope or doors stick, start at house leveling. If it is a carport, patio cover or similar, see construction services. If the roof is involved, roof replacement or roof repair. Not sure which? Call and describe it, and we will tell you which one it is.

What customers say about Ariston

“Ariston construction company was really good. they tore down the old car port. This one can take wind four times stronger. It was very solid and I like that. Its not gonna blow off. I’m very pleased. A lot of people stop by and say “Wow what a nice job” and I would recommend Ariston construction any one who would need it. They are very very good..”
— Richard S ★★★★★

“Due to storm damage in April we needed a new roof for our carport and our park model leveled. We had a deck built by them and our shed moved permanently to the deck out from under the carport. Then the carport was built with wood and a steel roof and love the results. Pictures were sent to me as they completed the work. I worked with Oscar by phone, text and emails from Michigan to get this done before our return to the valley. Oscar worked with the insurance agent to get more for the work needed. I’m very happy with the work done by Oscar and his crew and would recommend them.”
— Brenna P. ★★★★★

“Oscar Duran provided an initial quote for repairs to my air conditioning duct system but unfortunately after removal of the insulation and a more complete assessment under my manufactured home, more repairs were required. Clear pictures of damage was provided by the crew. Oscar explained the situation and provided options for repair. I was provided with a written quote detailing the repair and material. The work was completed in a timely manner and very professional. I would recommend Ariston Construction for any remodeling or repair. I will definitely be contacting this company again for any future repairs.”
— Patricia B., McAllen, TX ★★★★★

“Contracted Ariston Construction to put a new roof on my park model home. They gave me a good price with a warranty and top shelf material. The crew arrived at 9 and finished by 12. They hauled the old shingles away and cleaned up all of the trash. I would highly recommend them!”
